Hi! Thanks for stopping by OwlReally.com! My name is Jamie and I live in Nashville, TN. I started blogging on Owl Really to document my booth at the Tennessee Antique Mall, to share my love of all-things-vintage, and to connect with other vintage-fans.
I married my best friend, Andy, on April 30, 2011 and you can read all about our wedding here and see our wedding featured on Ashley's Bride Guide, the premier Nashville wedding website.
I absolutely love weddings and events and I am now accepting clients for day-of-coordinating. I planned my entire wedding in about 5 months, then handed it over to a day-of-coordinator to execute the plans. I am so glad I did - she was a lifesaver. I love to be that same lifesaver for other brides - let me know if I can help you with your special day!
Our fun, snowy engagement photos were featured on Ashley's Bride Guide and Le Wedding Party (the former wedding blog by Elsie and Emma of A Beautiful Mess). You can see an archive of the site and scroll down to December 29 to see our engagement photos.
You may know my mom, Gail at My Repurposed Life. If you don't, check out her amazing blog!
You may be wondering what "Owl Really" means. My husband was helping our friend clean out some old middle school mementos and they came across notes from a girl friend who consistently wrote "ow" instead of "oh." For instance, she wrote "ow my gosh" instead of "oh my gosh." Andy and I started jokingly asking, "Ow, really?" which morphed into "Owl really?" which morphed into just regular "owl really." Couple that with the internet O Rly owl meme, and the name stuck!
