Free $20 Credit to thredUP Online Consignment Shop

http://www.thredup.com/r/NSGAOW

This post was edited and updated 7/23/15 - after two years of experiences with thredUP!

thredUp is an online consignment store that sells clothes for women and children, plus handbags and shoes! They buy and sell all sizes and most brands--just not Wal-mart brands and things like that. They DO take Target (Mossimo and Merona)!

You can buy OR sell clothes on thredUP.

To buy:

Click here to visit thredUP.com, earn a $20 credit, and start shopping! You can browse by size, brand, or category of clothing. I have bought SO many things from thredUP over the past few months - my two favorites right now are 2 long-sleeve Old Navy button-ups. One has little anchors all over it and the other is a polka dot chambray shirt! I have bought shirts, dresses, cardigans, and skirts. The best thing is that they offer free returns, so if something doesn't work out, you can send it right back!

I also bought adorable t-shirts for our nephew Ollie for only $3.99 each. I had clicked someone's referral link, though, so I got them for free. Magic!

The packaging is really nice and playful! When you order a lot (like I just did recently), you get a really cute polka dot box in the mail. They take care to package your items really well.

If you sign up and buy something through this link, you and I will both get a $20 credit!

To sell:

Simply order a free clean-out kit to fill up with clothes. They insist that the bag is *stuffed* when you send it back (which was no problem for me, I've been hoarding clothes for years). They pay the return shipping! They will pay you for the clothes they decide to take and they recycle what they don't accept.

I have sent 5 bags in and earned a total of $166. Not bad!

Let me know what you think of thredUP! I find it really addicting to browse - they add new items every day!

  2. oooh. this sounds awesome. I definitely am looking into this. I have lots of things to consign. I have been selling on ebay and to local shops like Platos Closet- but this seems interesting.

  5. Very interesting concept! In our area, the local elementary schools have "gently used" clothing and toy sales. You price your items BUT there is a 40% fee if the item sells. I wonder how many items & how much thredUp will offer you? Jamie, please keep us posted so we know! Thx!

  6. Very cool, I had looked at this before, but didn't know they were accepting women's clothes! I am definitely getting a bag. I have already cleaned out my closet and haven't done anything with the stack of clothes I have to get rid of!
